Youth
Guidance Outreach Services
The
agency's Mark or Symbol comprises two elements – the 'Starburst'
and the 'Compass'.

The
'Starburst' represents “Rays of Hope” which the
agency aims to bring to the Youth-at-Risk which it serves
– to help them see the purpose and goals in their lives.
The yellow ochre colour connotes the warmth of friendship
they can find in the agency's activities. In contrast, turquoise
is used for the type to represent the management of the agency
– one that strives for excellence while caring for its
staff, focused on building a team totally dedicated to youth
work.
The
second element, the 'Compass', is incorporated into the acronym
of the agency, “YGOS”. It symbolises Direction
and Guidance, which the agency provides to lead youth to find
and follow the right path in pursuit of their
life goals. |
YGOS has two
main objectives:
- To prevent
and combat juvenile delinquency in Singapore; and
- To render
public and social services in the community, reaching and helping
youths-at-risk.
In compliance with the Code of Governance guidelines, we declare that:
-
YGOS aims to achieve an accumulated reserves of not exceeding three times of its total operating expenditure, in order to sustain its work with troubled youths and provide for a modest increase in capacity.
- The annual remuneration of each of the top three YGOS executives falls below $100k’.
